Intelligent Design

Nothing scares me so much as religious fundamentalists. And I am not specifically thinking of talibans...quite the opposite in fact. I watched a documentary last night about Intelligent Design and it scared me so much more than any "crazy taliban" could ever do. Why? Well fundamental muslims have been compared to the devil in western media for such a long time that it is hard for any muslim not to be considered a menace to society. But here comes white, well educated (?) middle class men from the US and Europe and they make even the Vatican seem unorthodox. The agenda is to question Darwin, the scientific ideas of evolution and everything that I thought was proved beyond doubt ages ago. They call themselves creationists and as one of them said: wants the ideas of evolution to "match" the Bible. GOD! If you are up there...please send a bolt of lightning upon these nutters. Their fate must be very weak since they cannot accept that other people does not share their views. This is the 21st century...but when I listen to these people it could the 14th...and we could go back to throwing scientists in jail if their discoveries did not "match" the Bible. It is said that Faith can move mountains...and I agree...sadly enough faith can also be strong enough to erase peoples' common sense.
